Reduced Posting Schedule for Summer

I have so many activities planned this summer, I will soon ave less time to read, participate, and write blog articles. One pressing task is to finish assembling the blog sale I have been promising for the last 6 months, but to do so will be almost a full time job. Trust me, this one is going to be huge.

I'll try to put up at least one post a week, but it might be a challenge to continue to aim for three, as I try to find balance and adore all the things that need adoring and enjoy all the things that need enjoying.

"You may adore me now."

I did not sit out here ONCE last summer

Late spring visitor no bigger than Mr. Petals' fingernail

One place I intend to restore my energy

So don't think I have abandoned the blogosphere. I just have tons to do!

  1. Oh, that all looks so lovely! You must enjoy it extra, for the rest of us :) Seattle has been dreary, lately. Sigh.

    1. Oh, no! It seems I always timed my visits to the PNW during good weather. All I remember about Portland and Seattle was how green everything was! I don't recall much rain, but my trips were always in May.

I hope you get some soul-warming sun, soon.

  3. Hi ZuZu,

I'm sorry for not writing back after you responded to my query about the upcoming blog sale. You wrote something sweet and I've been trying to respond except I can't find the post anymore. :( I think it was under a post called "Cankles", but I get "The Sweaty Side of Beauty" post when I search for cankles on your blog.

Anyway, I'm glad your taking the time to enjoy yourself. I will miss your regular posts and your comments on other blogs! And, don't stress out about the sale. It'll happen when it does, right? :)

    *hug*

    1. Please don't give it a second thought. That lola is really demanding, lol. If I'm not here I'm over there. I won't stop commenting or posting, but it just might peter out a bit, and I think when a blogger has regular readers, it's polite to let them know she hasn't stopped loving them. ♥

As for the blog sale, it's GOTTA happen. I need to declutter before my vacation starts, and I have a charity in mind for whatever profits I make, so the sooner the better. My goal is still mid July, but I just finished three concurrent deadlines at work and have another one coming straight up. Blah.

  4. Wow, your home looks lovely. Please do take the time for yourself & sit out on that beautiful patio of yours! You will certainly feel quite a relief once you get that blog sale out of the way ;)
I recently thinned out my treasure chest of beauty goods & I feel sooo damn good! It was hard for me depart with some stuff knowing how much money I spent (also I felt quite ashamed of myself), but it was ridiculous to see the amount of products that I know would out live me! Of course it doesn't help that I recently caved & bought some RBR goodies with 20% off- grrr! Although the items I purchased were all lip products & plan on using them all up! Thankfully talked myself out of buying some of the eyeshadows! Phew! lol
    Enjoy your summer!
    xo Naomi
PS Thanks for letting me know at Lola's ;)

    1. Hi, Naomi, thanks! I do agree it's hard to let go of things we spent money on, but I look at it this way: I may have spent $25 on That Thing, but my time is worth money, isn't it? So shuffing That Thing from place to place or worrying about how much room it takes up sucks all the joy out it, not to mention the time wasted doing all that analyzing. So I say "Begone, Thing!" And I see nothing wrong with taking advantage of a sale on a beautiful brand. I almost caved on on their new grey and lilac eyeshadows (can't remember the names but Modesty Brown and Visionary Beauty reviewed them), but then I remember the mantra I need to tattoo on the back of my hand: I do not need anymore eyeshadow!

Lip products, on the other hand ... it's far more feasible that I'd use them up, but RBR doesn't sell items that are cool enough for me. Not cool in a Cool-Joe way but in a temperature way. ;) I hope you are enjoying your new RBR items. It's good stuff, for sure.

  5. I too will have to start to post less-I've been so busy lately and keeping up with the blog is getting hard!
Have a great summer Zuzu! I'm going to try to as well!

    1. Not just the blog but supporting our sisters. That can sometimes take more time than writing articles, but it's so important. I know how easy it is to get super busy and how hard it can be to make the rounds, but I do try, and I do want to continue.

I won't be bailing out completely but I do aim for a little down time. I don't know how you bloggers with kids do it! I am in awe. I hope you manage to get a little TRAKEE time, too.

    1. Rola, nothing on this earth will immediately calm my racing thoughts, heart, and soul like first setting my eyes on the ocean. It got me through my teenaged angst-ridden years, and I feel such an overwhelming pull toward it. The smell, the sound, the sights ... all so calming to me. :)

    1. Ribbit!

My excuse for letting the gardening go the last two springs is not wanting to disturb the baby bunnies. They get born under our shrubs and in the English cottage garden, and I don't want to frighten them. Yes, bunnies and I peacefully coexist ... most of the stuff I plant is rabbitproof, and we sprinkle strawberry hulls and old carrots on the ground. We also get so many songbirds one day they will carry me off.
